The In-laws come to Komazawa

This weekend Yuko's aunt & uncle, the Okamoto's, along with their two sons Jun & Naoya and Yuko's grandma (Elena's great-grandma!), came to visit us in Komazawa. Yuko and her mother spent all morning cooking up a storm, and we all stuffed ourselves on the fruit of their labor. I hadn't seen the Okamoto's since our wedding, which they kindly traveled out to Gig Harbor to attend.

What's so funny? Maybe they're laughing because grandma does not appear to have changed position since the last photo . . . she can't get enough of her great-granddaughter.











In the courtyard of our apartment complex in Komazawa. The weather was beautiful this weekend, warm but not too hot or humid. We all took a walk down to Komazawa park in the afternoon.
