14 visitors . . .

So this Sunday, 7 of Yuko's friends from her maternity aerobics class (maternity-bics, in Japanese), along with ALL of their babies, came to our place for snacks, drinks and merriment. All together, 16 moms and babies. Two dads also showed up, luckily for Eric, so that he wasn't totally alone in a sea of post-partum mommies and babies. Interestingly, both of the dads who came were foreigners (one Australian, one Canadian).

Anyway, here are some photos of all the guests.

先週の日曜日、我が家にマタニティービクス仲間が大集合♪数ヶ月前まではおっきなお腹をして、腰が痛いだの足が痛いだの言いながらエクササイズや骨盤底筋群運動に励んでいたママ達です。「締めて～！緩める～！」（←みんな、覚えてる？（笑））その甲斐あってか、みんなばっちり元気なベイビーを出産。早くもアフタービクス（産後のママと赤ちゃんのためのクラス）復帰の話題で盛り上がりました。

何せ8人のママと8人の赤ちゃん。

Three's company . . . actually it's been called to my attention that this pic is from a different day.

The boy in the middle (Ryo-kun) is going to be either a judo champion or a buddhist monk when he grows up, you can just tell.

これはその3日前に遊びに来てくれたお友達の写真。右が鈴木秀規君、一番年上（生後5ヶ月）なだけあって反応がはっきりしてるしとっても元気！そして真ん中が貫禄の渡辺諒君。両サイドから叩かれたりいじられたりしてもドデーンと構えていられる落ち着きっぷり。すごいよ君は。




I haven't seen this many babies in one place since the delivery ward at the hospital where Elena was born. The three babies at the bottom of the circle are half Japanese, half American/Canadian/Australian (yeah, I know what you're thinking, no difference) -- the other five are all Japanese. The kid on the left, Jun-kun, is wearing a panda outfit; his mom, Noriko, is enraptured with pandas, and has a panda hand puppet for Jun that he apparently sleeps with every night, although I doubt he has a choice in the matter . . . The baby to his right, Ryuunosuke-kun, is wearing a stylish one-piece adorned with masks of Mexican pro wrestlers. His mother, Yayoi, is an announcer for K-1 fights on satellite TV. My personal favorite, after Elena, of course, is Riku-kun, the boy in the blue, to the right of Elena. He has the biggest noggin I've ever seen. It's actually much, much bigger than it appears in this picture. He's going to be a genius.

この月齢だからこそ撮れる、貴重なショット！もう少し大きくなってハイハイでもしようものなら、全員集合の写真なんてとても撮れないそうです。それではみんなをご紹介(＾▽＾)/

☆左ナナメ下の黄色いお洋服を着ているのが、この中では一番年下（1ヶ月！）の果杏薗（かあら）ちゃん。パパはオーストラリア人。周囲がギャーギャー騒ぐ中でぐっすり寝られるあたり、大物です。以下時計回り。
☆トレードマークのパンダの着ぐるみを着た淳君。果杏薗ちゃんを狙ってる模様。
☆竜之介君。マスクマンのボディスーツ（ママの趣味！？）がステキよ～♪
☆陽君。もうすぐロンドンにお引越し。目指せイートン校！イケメンの君なら入れる！
☆麻央ちゃん。早くも人見知りが始まったとのことで、この日はご機嫌ななめ。びっくりさせちゃってごめんよ～。女の子だからなのか、泣き方がエレナによく似てました。
☆琥央（こうよう）君。とても落ち着いていたけどおうちではよく泣くらしい。ママ曰く「外面がいい」のだそう（笑）。
☆目鼻立ちくっきりの陸君。パパはカナダ人。ベビモに載る日も近いか？？
☆その陸君に言い寄るようにしてるうちのエレナ。

ここぞとばかり、みんな撮影に夢中。そうだ、スリムになったママ達の集合写真も撮ろうと思ってたのにすっかり忘れてた…。
