Elena's First Baseball Game

Our friend Hidemasa coaches a high school baseball team here in Tokyo, and today it so happened that they had a game at Komazawa Park, very near our house. So we gathered all our baby gear, strapped Elena into her stroller, and went for a walk to the park to see the game. It started off pretty hot, but it clouded over and cooled down as the game went on. Hidemasa's team lost, unfortunately, but it was fun to see his kids in action.

Baby's first baseball game! She was not exactly overflowing with interest . . .

Watch out for foul balls, guys -- keep your eyes on the game.

Yuko and Elena with the Okadas -- Hidemasa & Miho. Elena seems to be checking out the final score. Hidemasa had to go back to Sugamo with the high school, but Miho and Hidemasa's mother stuck around and we had a nice lunch nearby.
